This episode of APNSD! features the second part of my When Podcasts Collide crossover with fellow Scooby-Doo enthusiast, nic robes, host of What's With You? Scooby-Doo! Although the formal question at hand is "What makes a Scooby-Doo show a Scooby-Doo show?" our conversation is pretty fluid and full of fascinating digressions, not unlike nic's show. So pop in your ear buds, strap yourselves in, and let the discussion begin!

WHEN PODCASTS COLLIDE!! In a universes-shattering departure from the show's regular interview format, host Mike Jozic joins forces with the incomparable nic robes from the What's With You? Scooby-Doo! podcast to talk about everybody's favourite mystery gang and their canine pal and try to suss out in a very roundabout way what it is, across all the iterations in the franchise, that makes Scooby-Doo truly Scooby-Doo.

This episode is the first part of two.

On this latest installment of A Podcast Named Scooby-Doo! I continue my conversation with writer and designer, Lance Falk. Lance goes way back with the gang having had a hand in designing characters for A Pup Named Scooby-Doo, working on the four D2DVD movies that reinvigorated the franchise in the late '90s, and as a prop designer on the most recent iteration of the series, Be Cool Scooby-Doo!

Lance tells some great stories about the behind-the-scenes development of the D2V projects, redesigning the characters for a new audience, writing the last Hanna-Barbera production, and their ongoing working relationship with MOOK animation studios.

In the first part of this two-part conversation I ask Lance to talk about his experiences working on those early films and to share some behind the scenes stories shedding some light on the development process that led to Scooby-Doo on Zombie Island and everything that followed.
